ARC Review: Confessions: Robbie By Ella Frank

Robbie is the first book in the Confessions Series by Ella Frank, but fans of her Temptation Series will recognize him as the sassy barista that wanted Logan. While this series could technically standalone from that series, this book does have quite a few references to those books and characters and I would recommend reading those books first for full enjoyment. Trust me, you won't regret reading them if you haven't already.

This book centers around Robbie, who knows that relationships are always complex. None more so than that of chef Julien and his husband Priest. But while Priest and Julien are happy and successful, they both know that something is missing, and that something is Robbie. They will stop at nothing to get him in their bed and in their lives.

I loved these three. The Prick, The Princess and The Priest definitely described them and I was so glad that we got to know each of them here with the way Ella presented their story. There are layers to each of them, and we are just scratching the surface, but I can't wait for more! Robbie has come a long way from the man he was in Try and I honestly loved seeing him still have the sass he did before, yet also seeing how he had evolved since then. Julien and Priest were so good for him, just as he was for them. These three worked well together and honestly felt like they belonged. I was a bit worried since Julien and Priest were married for awhile before Robbie entered the picture, but I didn't have any reason to after reading this book. It didn't feel as though anyone was left out or a lesser part of the relationship developing as each one had specific needs as well as a specific purpose.

Overall, I can't wait for more of these characters! They are fantastic and I loved them so much. Logan and Tate will always have a special place in my heart, but these three are right up there with them. This book was sexy and filled with hot moments like Ella is known for, but it was also more and I can't wait to see where she takes us next. I definitely recommend this one for fans of the Temptation series, and if you haven't read them yet I would suggest starting there and picking up Robbie as well. Once you enter this world Ella has created, you won't want to leave!

ARC Review: What He Doesn't Know by Kandi Steiner

I have never read a book by Kandi Steiner before, but I knew once I read the blurb for What He Doesn't Know that I needed to read it! I am so glad that I did, because I couldn't put this book down! While I know some have problems with cliffhangers and love triangles, I definitely recommend this one! This is the first book in the duet, and I can't wait for the next!

Charlie and Cameron were happy and successful, until suddenly everything was different. Their marriage was no longer the same and the once best friends suddenly felt like strangers. So when Charlie's brother's best friend/childhood crush Reese returns to town, she finds herself drawn to him once again.

I will admit that the one thing about love triangles for me is that I am always on someone's side, but I have to say that the characters Kandi Steiner has created here were fantastic and it was impossible to really pick a side for me. I felt for everyone involved, and there wasn't anything simple about how I was feeling or which choice I thought that Charlie should make. Each character was relatable and there was so much to each of them. One thing is for sure, I can't wait to see what happens next!

I honestly can't wait for more, and I am definitely curious to read more from Kandi Steiner after reading this book. It was so good and I think a lot of readers are going to love this one as much as I did. It was emotional and I was captivated from the start.

Indulge Yourself Event with Sarah Ballance

Sarah and her husband of what he calls “many long, long years” live on the mid-Atlantic coast with their six young children, all of whom are perfectly adorable when they’re asleep. She never dreamed of becoming an author, but as a homeschooling mom, she often jokes she writes fiction because if she wants anyone to listen to her, she has to make them up. As it turns out, her characters aren’t much better than the kids, but nevertheless, you’ll find her writing sexy contemporary romance for Entangled Publishing until they throw her out. ARC Review: Only You by Melanie Harlow

I absolutely love Melanie Harlow! Her books never disappoint and that was so true here with Only You. This book is a standalone story full of heat and emotion and it had me swooning the whole way through. I couldn't put it down and I honestly think Melanie Harlow could write anything and I would read it.

Emme and Nate are neighbors and friends. They are opposite in almost everything, including their love lives. So while Nate has rescued her on more than one occasion, she is a relationship type of girl while he prefers to keep things casual. But when one of his hookups surprises him with a baby, he knows that he needs Emme's help this time. Can Emme show him that she is the one for him and that they could have a real future together?

I loved these two and the dynamic between them. The banter was amazing and I just couldn't get enough. Nate showed a lot of growth here and I loved seeing the depth to him as his entire life changed. Emme was fantastic and I thought that she was perfect for him. These two were sexy and sweet, and their story is one I think a lot of readers will be able to relate to and feel invested in.

Overall, this was another winner from Melanie Harlow. Only You was heartfelt and captivating and I can't say enough good things about it. Melanie Harlow is a talented writer and her contemporaries are some of my all time favorites. If you are looking for a solid story that you can lose yourself in, I highly recommend Only You as well as anything else by Melanie. I also have to say that it was great to see some familiar faces here from Melanie's past stories, but if you are new to her you do not need to have read them to enjoy Only You.

Indulge Yourself Event with Kira Archer

Kira Archer resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kiddos, and far too many animals in the house. She tends to laugh at inappropriate moments, break all the rules she gives her kids (but only when they aren’t looking), and would rather be reading a book than doing almost anything else. She has odd, eclectic tastes in just about everything and often lets her imagination run away with her. She loves her romances a little playful, a lot sexy, and always with a happily ever after.

Indulge Yourself Event with Virginia Nelson

Virginia Nelson believed them when they said, “Write what you know.” Small town girl writing small town romance, her characters are as full of flaws, misunderstandings, and flat out mistakes as Virginia herself. When she’s not writing or plotting to take over the world, she likes to hang out with the greatest kids in history, play in the mud, drive far too fast, and scream at inanimate objects. Virginia likes knights in rusted and dinged up armor, heroes that snarl instead of croon, and heroines who can’t remember to say the right thing even with an author writing their dialogue. Her books are full of snark, sex, and random acts of ineptitude—not always in that order.

ARC Review: Fireball by Nazarea Andrews

Fireball is the first book in the new River Street Bar Series from Nazarea Andrews. I have been a big fan of Nazarea's for quite awhile now, and this book was a great read, just like I have come to expect from her. I enjoyed it from start to finish, and I think readers are going to like this one a lot.

Dempsey and Taite have known each other since they were kids, and while he was the straight-laced do-gooder, she was always the mischievous one. He is now a firefighter and she is a police officer, so their paths cross often. But while to the world they appear to do nothing but fight, in private things are a bit of a different story.

I really liked these two. At first I admit I was unsure of Taite and if I would like her. But she quickly won me over and I knew these two were meant for each other. I enjoyed the sparks flying between them and the banter was great foreplay. They had a ton of chemistry and a lot of history, and despite their differences they made total sense.

Overall, this was a great story and I was drawn in right away. I think this is a great start to this new series and I am really looking forward to seeing where Nazarea Andrews takes it next. I have become a huge fan of hers over the years with her unique and relatable characters and well written stories and Fireball was everything I love about her books and more.
