Feature and Giveaway: Hitched by Erin Nichols

And she thought the bridesmaids dresses were her biggest problem...

Allison Ralston would rather be anywhere other than this wedding. Even if the wedding is hers. Especially since the wedding is hers.

But Allie's determined to restore her family's happiness, and if tying the knot with longtime family friend, Josh Brewster, is the way to do it, then she'll walk down that aisle, toss that bouquet and drink that champagne.

Oh, she'll definitely drink the champagne.

There’s only one thing that could get Gavin Montgomery back to Promise Harbor. And she’s about to say I do to another man. Now he’s back to claim what’s his—even if he has to do it in the middle of her wedding.

Allie is shocked—and okay, a little turned on—when Gavin literally sweeps her off her feet. Safe in his arms, she succumbs to fatigue, stress, and yes, the champagne, only to wake up in his bed. In Alaska.

Now that he’s put four thousand miles between Allie and all her responsibilities, Gavin’s determined to show her that they can make a life together. If he has his way, the next wedding Allie will be planning will be theirs.

Warning: Contains a guy so in love he’s willing to break up the wedding of the season, a bride who just needs to get to, well, anywhere else, and enough hot sex to take them from New England to Alaska and back again.

Guest Post with Author Michelle Smart and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome author Michelle Smart to RFTC. Michelle is celebrating the recent release of her book Tempted by Trouble and has stopped by to share her favorite book boyfriend. Please give Michelle a warm welcome.

Michelle's love affair with books began as a baby when, according to her mum, she would throw her teddies out of the cot and cuddle with books instead. This love of all things wordy has never left her. A voracious reader, her tastes cross all genres. Her first experience with romance was as a child devouring copious amount of fairy tales. As her reading tastes evolved, she discovered something special--a book has the capacity to make her heart beat as if falling in love the first time.

When not reading or pretending to do the housework, Michelle loves nothing more than creating worlds of her own featuring handsome heroes and the sparkly, feisty women who refuse to take crap from them. She hopes her books can make her readers’ hearts beat a little faster, too.

After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals, press releases for a publicist, articles, and computer code, but something was always missing. I would like to welcome author Nina Rowan to RFTC. Nina is celebrating the release of her newest book, A Passion for Pleasure and has stopped by to answer a few questions. Please give Nina a warm welcome.

Originally from California, Nina Rowan holds a PhD in Art History from McGill University, Montreal, with a specialization in 19th century French and Russian art. She has studied Indian and Southeast Asian art and film, worked as a curatorial assistant at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and traveled in India and Europe.

Guest Review: Rush by Maya Banks

I have to admit that Maya Banks has basically been an auto-buy for me since the first book of hers that I read. Over the last few years I have devoured pretty much anything with her name on it. That being said, I was a little skeptical about starting Rush. At first glance this book sounds like so many others that have been popular recently. Sexy mysterious billionaire with a troubled past secretly in love with his best friend's little sister decides that it is time to pursue a relationship with her. He has extreme tastes and insists on contracts with all his lovers in order to protect himself. However I quickly found that although the basics might sound like other stories, Gabe and Mia were different. They drew me in and kept me so interested that I didn't want to put the book down. I loved that they had known each other for years and the attraction had so long to intensify. They both wanted each other despite the many obstacles that were in the way and the waiting definitely paid off.

Gabe is a sexy and intense alpha who has always needed to be in control. He is wounded from a marriage that ended so badly, that he begins every relationship after with a contract to ensure that he is never hurt again. Gabe becomes very protective of Mia and will do anything to have her and take care of her. Including risk his business and friendship with Jace, his best friend who also happens to be Mia's older brother.

I really liked Mia. I found that she was fun and was not afraid to stand up to her brother Jace and Gabe when needed. I felt like she was a wonderful fit for Gabe and she really helped him to get over his past. I loved that she put her love for Gabe first and was able to overcome some pretty rough stuff.

There were a few moments in this book that I felt could have gone differently, but overall it was a pretty great start to the trilogy. The author has done a great job of setting up the series for the next two books about Jace and their other best friend Ash. I can't wait to read these books and see where she takes these guys!

ARC Review: A Passion for Pleasure by Nina Rowan

A Passion for Pleasure is Nina Rowan's second book in the Daring Hearts series. I somehow missed the opportunity to read her debut novel (A Study in Seduction), but I am glad to have read this one. Rowan is a talented writer who has created an intriguing story with a considerable amount of drama and suspense.

Clara Winter is a young widow living with her eccentric uncle who creates automata, selfoperating machines. Her dead husband left custody of her son to her father who won't let Clara see him. Sebastian Hall, a brilliant pianist and Clara's piano teacher for years before, appears on a mission for his brother. He is a lost soul, having recently developed a disability with his hand. Sebastian and Clara make a bargain to marry as a way to help each other. There are many interconnected subplots that must be untangled as Sebastian and Clara work their way toward love.

I truly enjoyed reading A Passion for Pleasure. The characters were authentic and had a great deal of depth. Issues of forgiveness, family loyalty, and finding a new purpose in life were intertwined with intrigue and mystery. The story line was a bit complicated, but not overly so. Some of the characters were introduced in the first book, but it is not necessary to have read it to understand this one. I look forward to reading the upcoming books about the Hall family. A very solid, well written historical romance.
