Today I would like to welcome author Inara Scott to RFTC. Inara is celebrating the release of her book The Boss's Fake Fiancee and has stopped by to answer a few questions. Please give Inara a warm welcome.

Inara Scott grew up on a steady diet of Harlequins, heaving bosoms, and happily ever after. Romance inspired her first novel, penned at the age of 14, titled A Wild and Stormy Passion. Today, Inara writes anything and everything, including young adult fiction and adult romance. She does frequent school visits and loves teaching writing to students of all ages. Kirkus Reviews called her debut novel, Delcroix Academy: The Candidates a “tightly written, intriguing mystery.” The Candidates (released in paperback as The Talents) was a 2010 Oregon Spirit Book Award Honor Book. The Marked, the second book in The Talents series, was released in April 2012. Inara also writes adult romance for Entangled Publishing. Interview with Author Susanna Fraser and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to RFTC author Susanna Fraser. Susanna is celebrating the release of her book An Infamous Marriage and has stopped by to answer some questions. Please give Susanna a warm welcome.

Susanna Fraser wrote her first novel in fourth grade. It starred a family of talking horses who ruled a magical land. In high school she started, but never finished, a succession of tales of girls who were just like her, only with long, naturally curly and often unusually colored hair, who, perhaps because of the hair, had much greater success with boys than she ever did.

Along the way she read her hometown library’s entire collection of Regency romance, fell in love with the works of Jane Austen, and discovered in Patrick O’Brian’s and Bernard Cornwell’s novels another side of the opening decades of the 19th century. When she started to write again as an adult, she knew exactly where she wanted to set her books. Her writing has come a long way from her youthful efforts, but she still tends to give her heroines great hair.

Susanna lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and daughter. When not writing or reading, she goes to baseball games, watches Chopped, Castle, and The Legend of Korra, and cooks her way through an ever-growing cookbook collection.

ARC Review: Rogue Rider by Larissa Ione

I went into this book not sure exactly what to expect. I just wasn't sure how Larissa would be able to redeem Reseph in a way that felt realistic and true to the series. Oh my goodness I don't even know why I worry because Larissa Ione always has a way of blowing my mind. Seriously, I'm not the biggest fan of amnesia story lines. They always seem a bit over the top and completely unrealistic but it actually worked for me this time.

First let me say that I love Reseph. Oh my but is that one sexy horsemen. Not only is he sexy but he is so lovable that it just breaks your heart knowing the things he did while he was Pestilence. I was really skeptical of how his redemption was going to pan out. Would he remember anything? Would it just be swept away under the carpet as if it never happened? I loved the way Larissa had things go down.

Jillian lives alone in a remote Colorado town. She's just trying to forget the demon attack that almost killed her a year ago. When she comes across a man laying naked in the snow she quickly rescues him and takes him back to her cabin. When the man wakes up with no recollection of who he is or where he came from with the exception of his name she knows she must take him into town. But quickly Jillian and Reseph begin to forge a bond and both find it hard to stay away from one another. What starts off a a friendship quickly turns to more and both Jillian and Reseph are finding that their feelings for one another run deep.

Reseph might have no memory of his previous life but he knows that what he feels for Jillian is real and something that he's never felt before. He is determined to love her and keep her safe. When Jillian's neighbors are murdered he somehow knows that it was a demon attack. Reseph begins to feel that he might be the cause and is afraid that he might be a danger to Jillian if he stays around her. When Limos, Thanatos and Ares show up at Jillian's cabin he instantly remembers everything from his past including everything he did as Pestilence.

The way Reseph reacts to what he did as Pestilence is heart breaking. Reseph is such a caring, fun loving guy but as Pestilence he was pure evil and he did truly unspeakable deeds that affected everyone around him. How can anyone forgive him for his acts even though it really wasn't him but Pestilence?

I thought that Jillian was a great heroine. She's a survivor and she's strong, caring and is willing to do whatever needs to be done to help Reseph. I found her a great match for Reseph. I liked that no matter what her love for Reseph is unwavering.

There is a lot happening in this book that will blow your mind and leave you wondering just what Larissa Ione has up her sleeve for future books. Some crazy ish went down and I know that I definitely can't wait to read more from her.

This book blew my mind and I couldn't tear myself away from my kindle. I stayed up to six thirty in the morning to finish because I just couldn't stop reading. Reseph is one sexy mo fo and I LOVED him and Jillian together. I can't wait to get my hands on Reaver's story. I just know it's going to be good. I'm antsy with anticipation.

Interview with Author Nona Raines

Today I would like to welcome back to RFTC author, Nona RainesNona is on tour promoting her book Take This Man and has stopped by to answer some questions. Please give Nona a warm welcome.

Nona Raines became hooked on romances when she first picked up "The Flame and the Flower" by Kathleen Woodiwiss (and she's not telling how long ago that was). Romances may have changed since then, but her love for a good love story has not. She's been writing off and on for years, but it was only when she joined the Central New York Romance Writers Association that she finally gained the support and confidence she needed to complete a manuscript.

Nona lives in upstate New York with her many pets and is currently working on her next novel. A former librarian, she enjoys reading books of all genres and discussing them with others. She is thrilled to finally be able to call herself an author and looks forward to hearing from readers.

Review: The Billionaire Bad Boys Club by Emma Holly

When I say this book is steamy, I definitely am not mincing words. I forgot just how sexy Emma Holly's books are. Oh my goodness this book is not safe for public reading. Beyond the sexiness of the book I really enjoyed the relationship between Zane, Trey and Rebecca. A lot of times books with a menage theme always seem to come off feeling a bit phony or not realistic, that definitely was not the case with The Billionaire Bad Boys Club. I found that I could not stop reading and it was so hard to put down. I fell in love with Zane and Trey and I just wanted them to somehow someway get their HEA.

To the world Zane and Trey are self made billionaire playboys that do everything together. No one knows the real truth, that they are bisexual men who are in a relationship with each other. Even though they are together they still have outside relationships with women. The one thing these two have never done is invite a woman into their relationship.

Sexy head chef Rebecca has not had an easy life. When she was just sixteen her mother died and soon after her father split leaving her to deal with her seven year old twin brothers. Rebecca quickly learned to never trust or have faith in men. Working to support her brothers through college she doesn't have the time or even any interest in a relationship. That all changes when she meets Trey and Zane.

When Rebecca meets Trey there is an instant connection between the two. Things heat up pretty quickly between the two. But not wanting to put her job in jeopardy, Rebecca backs off. A few days later while meeting up with her brothers Rebecca meets Zane and finds herself instantly attracted but after a few dates realizes that she could never trust him and decides to break things off.

When both Trey and Zane realize that they are both attracted to Rebecca and neither want to let her or one another go, they decide that maybe they should try a triad relationship. They have one week to convince Rebecca that a relationship between the three of them is really worth the risk.

Oh my goodness this book is so freakin' hot! Don't get me wrong, there is more going on here than smoking hot sex scenes. I really loved the relationship between everyone. Everyone has had a very rough past and needed to heal in their own ways. I loved that they were able to help heal one another and work through the pain of their pasts.

This was a great steamy read and I can't wait to get my hands on more from Emma Holly.

Books That Made an Impact on My Reading Habits

Have you ever read a book that has completely changed the way you read? A book that is outside of your norm and it just opened your eyes to new things? Through the years there have been a handful that have influenced the reader that I am today. Books that opened my eyes to new genres and authors and filled the void that I didn't even know was missing. For some of these books it's been years since I've read them but yet I still think of them. I've read them time and again and will always have a place on my bookshelf.

Below are some of the books that helped mold me into the reader I am today.

Forever by Judy Blume

This is the book that actually got me thinking about this topic. I can't tell you how many times I've read this book. Forever was my first (and so far only) Judy Blume book that I've read. This was the first book that I read that actually showed sex between the characters. I remember my friends and I passing this book along to everyone we knew. I love that even though this book is from the seventies, it's still relevant today. The characters are relatable and I thought it depicted an honest portrayal of relationships between teens.

The Thrill Club by R.L. Stine

This was the first paranormal book that I ever read. I think I was ten or eleven and a friend of mine lent me this book telling me that it was pretty good. Oh my goodness, I devoured this book. I became obsessed and I became a Fear Street fiend. I gobbled up all of the previously released Fear Street books and I would wait on pins and needles every month for the new book to come out. I just loved them and because of this book I became a huge fan of paranormal books.

No Mean No-Sweet Valley University #10 by Francine Pascal and Laurie John

I admit I was late to the game when it came to Sweet Valley books. I think I was fifteen when I picked this book up and up until that point I had steered myself away from anything Sweet Valley related. I had watched the show but that was it. I just never wanted anything to do with any of the books, until No Means No. I was browsing for books at my local library and saw this on the shelf. The premise seemed interesting so I decided to give it a try. After quickly finishing off this book I promptly made a trip back to my local library and proceeded to glom every Sweet Valley University book I could get my hands on. Once I had read everything that was already out, I would wait not so patiently for the next monthly installment. I just had to know what was going to happen next with those Wakefield twins.

This was my very first romance book. It was a romance novel for teens and it was part of a series called Love Stories. Every month a new book by a different author would come out featuring a love story with the main characters being teenagers. I loved these books. In fact some still top my list of all-time favorites. These books opened my eyes and made me realize that there were actually teen romance books out there. When I was a teen there weren't that many good YA romances and this series of books let me indulge in my inner romantic, the part of me that always clamored for the ultimate HEA in every book that I read. And believe me it was super hard to find those in the worlds of R.L Stine and Christopher Pike.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Twilight. Yes, I was a freak for this book. And let me just say, I read this book way before it was popular. I picked up this book when it was first released and devoured it within a few hours. I just couldn't put it down. I hated, and I mean HATED the fact that I had to wait a year for the next book. But I'm thankful that I was such a freak for this book because it helped give me a push to finally pick up adult romance books. Let me explain.... up until Twilight I read YA and only YA. I don't actually remember why I was so hesitant to move on to adult romance (maybe I didn't think I could relate) but after reading Twilight I became obsessed with it. I loved it and couldn't get enough. I would constantly troll online for any info I could find on the books. One day I was looking at reviews for Twilight when I came across some recommendations it had listed for books that were similar to Twilight. Among the listings were Dark Lover, Lover Eternal, and Lover Awakened. I found myself looking at some of the reviews and they looked pretty interesting so I decided "what the hell" and bought them. At the time I hadn't really realized they were adult, I had assumed that because they were recommending them along with Twilight that they were YA (yes I was that naive) When they arrived and I did indeed notice that they were adult paranormals I quickly placed them on my book shelf and that is where they sat for months.

Dark Lover by J.R. Ward

Yes, I did place this book on my shelf for months before picking it up. And I kick myself all the time for waiting so long to finally pick this book up. After running out of books to read and not really wanting to read Twilight yet again (at this point I think I was up to 5 times) I decided to give Dark Lover a go. OMG, I can't believe I waited so long to read this book. It was AMAZING!!! I devoured this book in one sitting and then quickly moved onto Rhage and Zsadist's book. I was hooked. As soon as I finished reading all three books I quickly started reading them from beginning to end once again. With these books I had finally made the leap from YA to adult romance and there was no going back. These books opened my eyes and I quickly began devouring any paranormal romances I could get my hands on. And that's how I came across the next book on the list.

The Vampire Who Loved Me by Teresa Medeiros

I kept seeing this book everywhere I went. And every time I saw it I would pick it up thinking it looked really good. Then I would read the blurb on the back and notice that it took place in England in the 1800's and I would quickly place it back on the shelf. At the time I had no desire to read historical romance. I just didn't find them appealing at all. Finally after playing the pick up, put down game for over a month I finally gave in and bought it. And again "why did I wait?" I loved this book from beginning to end and I just couldn't get enough of Julian and Portia. I quickly purchased the first book in this series and ended up loving that one too. After finishing both books and loving them, I went out and purchased most of Teresa Medeiros's back list. Then from there I moved on to other historical romance authors. Now I can say with certainty that historical is my favorite genre and I owe it all to Teresa Medeiros's vampire Julian.

What about you? Are there any books that opened your eyes to new things, may it be different authors or genres? I would love to hear your stories.
